Kaung Sett
My name is Kaung Sett, and I am a Mental Health Support Provider and Psychology Practitioner (In-Training). I offer compassionate, respectful support in a calm and non-judgmental space where individuals can feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and personal challenges. I believe that people already hold the inner capacity to understand themselves, and my role is to gently support them in finding clarity, balance, and confidence in their own decisions. My work is grounded in humanistic and person-centered approaches. I focus on being a steady and attentive presence—helping clients slow down, regulate overwhelming emotions, and reconnect with their strengths when life feels confusing or emotionally intense. Through deep listening and emotional support, I aim to help clients feel understood, empowered, and emotionally safe. Ethical practice is central to my work. For the past 18 months, I have engaged in regular bi-weekly clinical supervision with senior psychologists and mental health professionals at the RISE Center, as well as international specialists, to ensure safe and reflective practice aligned with global standards. I also provide mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), psychoeducation, and community-based interventions. I currently volunteer as a Mental Health Supporter and MHPSS Provider, conduct follow-up mental health interviews, and contribute to community mental health programs. My goal is to support individuals in moving from emotional distress toward self-empowerment, clarity, and a more fulfilling, self-directed life.
